Therefore, we open the gates of the Château and strive for it to be a place to present art exhibitions as well as a Residency for Artists, within the context of ‘Trans History’; respecting the past within its own context, though connecting it to contemporary times and considerations, and starting a conversation on relating subjects.

We hope that through these artistic programs we can enrich the cultural landscape of the community and the region, by showcasing diverse artistic expressions, styles, and perspectives and hence creating opportunities for collaboration and networking between artists, curators, art institutions, and the local community. At the same time, hosting art exhibitions and Artist-in-Residence programs can promote creativity, cultural exchange, and dialogue, while also contributing to the social, economic, and educational aspects of the community. Art has the power to challenge norms, provoke critical thinking, and inspire action. Thus, art exhibitions can serve as catalysts for change and encourage discussions around relevant issues and trans-history.

Therefore, at Chateau du Fresne we want to provide a platform for artists to express their creativity and share their perspectives with a broader audience. Through these artistic programs we want to offer a valuable opportunity to support and promote both established and emerging artists, providing them with a platform to showcase their work.
